Some Fun Facts
Before I was knee-deep in receipts and reconciling, I was elbow-deep in horse breeding records (seriously). I’ve got a master’s degree in horse reproduction from Texas A&M University — who knew that would be the start of my systems-loving, detail-obsessed journey?
I spent several years as the office manager at a racehorse breeding stallion station, making sure the place ran like clockwork — right up until three days before having our first daughter. After that? I traded spreadsheets for sippy cups and chose to stay home with her.
Spoiler alert: I didn’t stay away from spreadsheets for long.
As my girls got a little older and life shifted, I stepped back into the working world — this time from home — as a full-time operations manager for a large corporation. I managed a big team of designers, kept projects on track, and made sure everyone had what they needed to hit their deadlines. It was fast-paced, high-pressure, and yep — I was really good at it.
But even with the success, something was missing. I kept coming back to the same thought: My time with my girls is too valuable to trade for someone else’s schedule.
So, I made the leap. I started building something of my own — a business where I got to decide how, when, and who I worked with.
That’s how Milk & Honey Co. was born. A business rooted in freedom, flexibility, and the belief that women shouldn’t have to choose between motherhood and ambition.
My sweet husband and I run a small cow-calf herd on family land that’s been in his family for generations. Every summer, we work the cows and calves together — boots muddy, kids in tow, up at the crack of dawn with Poptarts as a motivator — and honestly, it’s one of our favorite things we do. Nothing beats that kind of slow, simple joy.
